GIO uses escalator handrails to advertise CTP insurance policy

GIO, one of Australia's leading providers of insurance, has taken its latest campaign to another level using escalated handrail media. Escalators were used to advertise its CTP insurance policy across five targeted shopping centres in Sydney. The 'hands on' nature of the medium and the captive audience dynamic provided the perfect combination of scale and penetration for GIO. The creative was designed by leading agency Leo Burnett, using a seat belt concept to promote GIO's low cost Compulsory Third Party Insurance policy. The media was booked by Starcom. Matt Schmidt, General Manager Escalated Advertising said, "We're rapt with this GIO campaign and look forward to the stellar results that will follow. Escalated has been used by FMCG, financial institutions, automotive, electronics, cinema and many other categories - insurance is another great application of the medium." Escalated Advertising is an Australian based organisation distributing this brand new medium around the world. Escalated already works with a number of distribution partners throughout Asia, Mddle East and Eastern Europe and is seeking to establish new partnerships within other key markets.
