Many companies are jumping on board in the movement to become more eco-friendly. In the past years brand name cleaners such as Palmolive and Clorox have released eco-friendly cleaning products. PNC Bank has opened 40 “Green Branches” across six states to reduce their impact on the environment. These are a few examples of industries and companie that have made a movement toward the green. In the recent years, out of home has been pondering over environmentally friendly new alternative for billboards. Circle Graphics developed Eco-Flexx, a lightweight, non-PVC, recyclable, vinylreplacement material. Shortly after, they designed a new clip system for 30-sheets, EcoPoster, which is lighter weight, lower cost and reduces turnaround time. The new AdVue lighting system will save energy and cut costs by reducing light spillage and kilowatts used in i llumi n a t ion. U l t raf lex Systems also released its BIOflex substrate, which is 100% biodegradable sign material. Non-traditional out of home companies such as AdRide Advertising LLC use their eye-catching, 100% humanpowered, state-of-the-art quadricycles known as “AdBikes”, to provide high impact outdoor advertising wi t h o u t t h e h a r m f u l emissions, noise pollution and traffic congestion caused by other mobile advertising companies that use billboard trucks and other motor vehicles. Magic Taking the Stand Magic Media is taking some steps t o become more environmentally conscious.
