BROOKINGS, S.D. – Daktronics Inc. (NASDAQ-DAKT) announced today that they have received orders for 55 of their new Valo™ OT digital billboards. The orders have come from a mix of new and existing clients, and are in addition to traditional billboard product orders. An important factor in the Valo™ OT digital billboard’s popularity is its reduced weight and power consumption. This eases structural concerns and reduces operating costs, potentially providing clients with a faster return on investment. “We are pleased with how well the marketplace is responding to our new product,” said Jeremy Johnson, Daktronics’ billboard sales manager. “We spent a great deal of effort understanding the needs of outdoor advertisers and incorporating those needs into this product. The response from our customers tells us that we’ve hit the mark with our new Valo™ OT product.” In addition to stunning picture quality, several unmatched features set the Valo™ OT digital billboard apart from the competition. They include a new security system, enhanced automatic dimming technology and an advanced remote display management system.
