Dreyer’s Ice Cream invite the local residents within that zip code to sample their latest ice cream flavors. With limited funding, traditional media formats would not be feasible. GMR Live, Dreyer's promotional agency, called on Ambient Planet to help realize Dryer's goal.
Strategy A most effective, cost efficient "neighborly" type way to invite the local residents was via door hangers. Ambient Planet utilized their local field team to place the door hanger invitations within the specified zip code.
Results Although it is not uncommon for door hangers to deliver a 15% response rate, Dreyer's received a whopping response of 53.8%. Of course, free ice cream is a great incentive and this program truly proves the superior awareness and call to action an effective door hanger program can generate.
