The Cell Phone Stores, Sprint/Nextel authorized dealers, promote their 18 retail locations across New England. The objective is to increase foot traffic and sales in their retail locations, as well as announce the Grand Opening of the Sprint/Nextel's newest Sales and Repair Center in Needham, MA. Boston Mobile Media assigned account representatives to work directly with all of the franchise owners to develop a drive schedule that would hit each and every highly traveled route where the retail stores are located. The mobile truck was able to travel all of the major routes in Boston, Metro West and South Shore, as well as drive to the major sporting events such as Red Sox games and Patriot games. Two out of three potential rotating billboards on each side of the truck were utilized.
The Cell Phone Store campaign is in the tail end of a six month commitment. “We will be extending our contract with Boston Mobile Media. We have tried many forms of advertising, but not mobile trucks. Boston Mobile Media has been able to deliver our message where we want, when we want. When we have used radio in the past or television in the past, we were taking a shotgun approach and didn’t know who was watching or listening. Now we can pinpoint our target audience. The Cell Phone Store targets consumers of all ages as well as businesses. Given the wide range of their target audience, Boston mobile media was able to help them reach both general and niche markets, by traveling highways, downtown and the financial district, local roads, college campuses, as well as targeting families at football and soccer fields on the weekends. In addition, they were able to take advantage of the timing of their campaign to bring their messages to Patriots games and Red Sox games during both the regular season, as well as the postseason championship games. Sprint / Nextel Cell Phone Store franchisees have reported noticeable increases in foot traffic and sales since beginning its marketing campaign through Boston Mobile Media. “Boston Mobile Media was able to give us more exposure for our retail stores than any newspaper, radio, or television adds we have tried over the last 7 years. Each store has reported higher foot traffic as well as more revenue.
