Atlanta, GA, is one of the fastest growing Hispanic markets in the country. In 2000, the Hispanic population of Atlanta numbered 324,405, or 6.3 percent of the metro area's total population. By 2011, the number of Latinos in Atlanta is expected to grow to 770,702, more than doubling and accounting for 11.1 percent of the metro population according to Geoscape.
![]() MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) has seen it's Hispanic ridership skyrocket from 5.1% of the ridership in 2006 to 19.1% of the ridership in 2007, according to Scarborough. MARTA is the newest addition to CBS Digital Network's growing list of cities and media in the form of Rail Network LCD screens. With 1.1 million Hispanic passengers every month and 30+ minute average ride, Rail Network offers exposure to a captive Latino audience. Rail Network has several FM stations that passengers can tune to. A Spanish-language channel is part of the package, offering clients audio messages in addition to visual engagement.
