![]() ViewWay's operations in the Carolinas recorded a record number of new customers in July when 16 new mobile billboards were placed under contract in Raleigh, Charlotte, Greenville, Myrtle Beach, Wilmington, Greensboro and Fayetteville."Not only are we thrilled with the net additions," said Weyher Dawson of ViewWay in North and South Carolina, "but the advertisers are diverse and representative of a number of different vertical markets."The North Carolina National Guard, Coressence Laser and Skin Care Centers, Crickett Communications are three examples of advertisers that can use mobile outdoor to reach very different markets. The North Carolina National Guard is using ViewWay's North Carolina network to support very specific recruiting needs in both rural and urban markets. Coressence Laser and Skin Care Centers have chosen metro routes in Eastern North Carolina, and not surprisingly, are targeting a totally different demographic from the National Guard. "The approach to the art work and design and the routes chosen are the keys to using this single outdoor medium to attract attention from different audiences," Dawson said. "It's really no different from broadcasting or newspapers. Radio has a morning listener and an overnight listener. Newspapers have a sports section and a fashion section. ViewWay's mobile outdoor has its own marketing characteristics. Attractiveness of artwork and careful route choices greatly enhance the levels of success in an ad campaign.
