Encompass Outdoor has produced the first lenticular coffee sleeve as part of a promotion for the new Jeep Compass on behalf of Daimler Chrysler. The promotion will provide over 1,000,000 coffee sleeves via coffee shops, bagel stores and cafes in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago during August 2006. Encompass has capitalized on recent advancements in printing precision and lenticular material to produce large production runs of lenticular printed coffee sleeves.

With lenticular coffee sleeves, customers can now deliver a message with the following distinct advantages:

· 3-D graphics and motion/depth – images can “float” atop detailed backgrounds.

· Flipping images and text – up to three spots on the coffee sleeve can have text or images that flip back and forth – essentially doubling the message that can be delivered by the sleeve.

· Multi-step motion – images can zoom in and out, morph between shapes/photos and animate (twirl, appear/disappear from print edge, etc.) Lenticular printing is popular with production teams because the design process remains basically the same as for traditional coffee sleeves. Clients provide what are essentially “before and after” images and a description of the effects they want.

In addition to standing out with eye catching 3-D and animation effects, lenticular sleeves have a longer usage due to their interactive nature.

By expanding a product’s capabilities, Encompass has delivered a product with a multitude of possibilities without adding media planning and production headaches.
