AUGUSTA, Ga.‹ Fairway Outdoor Advertising, owned by Morris Communications Co., LLC, announced the purchase of outdoor advertising assets from Innovative Media. The announcement was made today by William S. Morris IV, president of Morris Communications. The new billboards are located in Chattanooga, Soddy Daisy and Dayton, Tenn., Dalton, Ga., and in eastern Alabama. The signs in Alabama will be managed by Fairway's Athens office and the others will be managed by the company's Chattanooga office. ''The acquisition augments our ability to serve our customers in these fast-growing markets,'' Morris said. ''These new assets will complement our existing billboards and expand advertising opportunities for our customers.'' Headquartered in Augusta, Fairway Outdoor Advertising has branch offices in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee. Fairway also provides services to clients in Virginia and Alabama. Morris Communications Co., LLC is a privately held media company with diversified holdings that include newspaper and magazine publishing, outdoor advertising, book publishing and distribution, visitor guide publishing, radio broadcasting and online services.
