AUGUSTA, Ga.‹ Mark Moyer, president of Fairway Outdoor Advertising, was elected chairman of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America. Moyer has nearly 30 years of experience in the outdoor advertising industry. He has been president of Fairway since August 2000. Before joining Morris, Moyer was president of Burkhart Advertising Inc. of South Bend, Ind. ''We congratulate Mark on his election,'' said William S. Morris IV, president of Morris Communications. ''I know he will prove to be an exceptional leader of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America.'' Moyer has served as vice chairman of the Safety, Standards and Technology Committee of the OAAA. He also is on the board of directors of the Traffic Audit Bureau and the Foundation for Outdoor Advertising Research and Education. In 2005 he co-chaired the OAAA National Convention in Chicago and co-chaired the FOARE 2005 fundraising campaign. Moyer will serve a two-year term as chairman of the OAAA, beginning this month. Headquartered in Augusta, Fairway Outdoor Advertising has branch offices in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee. Fairway also provides services to clients in Virginia and Alabama.
