(TORONTO: July 3, 2007) – Outdoor Broadcast Network (OBN) has acquired 100% of the Lightvision Media Network of Vancouver, BC to become the only national network of Video Boards in Canada.
The OBN network now consists of 30 Video Boards located across Canada and represents 70% of the Video Boards in Canada. The new OBN network delivers a weekly audience of over 13 million.
“Video Boards have proven to be one of the fastest growing new advertising mediums in the country by enabling innovative and effective campaigns. We feel that the acquisition of Lightvision, with its strong presence in Western Canada, is an excellent complement to the existing OBN network and provides the opportunity for us to make it easier for our clients to buy advertising on Video Boards.” says Peter Irwin, president of OBN.
OBN is setting a new level of customer service and ease of purchase by standardizing rates, programming loops, audience measurement, production formats, material delivery and proof of performance. The OBN sales teams will also continue to be an outstanding resource for innovative OOH concepts and provide a single sales source for Video Boards in Canada.
OBN will maintain its growth strategy by adding new locations and products over the next 24 months.
