Advertising associations are large groups of like minded individual provide a structure to industry’s of all types. Organizations such as the OAAA – Outdoor Advertising Association of America, headquartered in Washington D.C. provide strength in legislation and legal matters, as well as, setting the standards of the out-of-home advertising. Another trade organization for the outdoor industry is the Traffic Audit Bureau that provides audits and measurement for their members. There are regular trade shows which showcase member’s products and services annually. You can also review the AAAA- Advertising Association of Advertising Agencies for regularly scheduled event. One of the main benefits to attending is that you are able to interact with more outdoor media companies than possible if you met people all week on a 60 hour work week. Typically this is the time that outdoor media vendors will use to make a new product announcement or improvement to new products.
