The Network: The inception of the network was built out of pure necessity. In 2003, there had not been an open resource for a media planner to conduct research for out-of-home. There was a defined need to be filled for a resource with all details for a media company, which was easily accessible to get information on market coverage of product, photos for clients, contact information, and media kits. Previously, this was all attained by the media marketing firms and collected in file cabinets and rooms to resource from. The network was designed to be the virtual filing room for those interested in outdoor media. Through extensive interviews with leading agencies and media companies around the country, a tailored framework design of the web site was to be advantageous for all parties. Media tools were created to assist the media planner and buyer to track and monitor media requests made with our online Request for Proposal system. This was pioneered by our company in 2004 and is now a complete online management system for buyers named Outdoor Media Zone. The media tool is already loaded with every media company in the network and is provided free to media buyers. We do this to foster better communications between buyer and vendor on the network as it is the nature of our B2B network for outdoor advertising. How much or how little information you wish to post on to your profile will determine the profile type. There is a basic profile and a complete profile for members on the network.
The GON Media Rolodex: The basic listing affords a media company to be included in or database for visitors. The profile is indexed and can be searched by buyers by country, states/ province and by product category Features: Rate: First category is free (with registration), second category is $10 and third $10 per year.
The GON Premier Profile: This profile is complete in every sense of the word with the exception of rates and allotments. The premium listing is displayed with all the same features included with the basic profile with upgrades.
