In an effort to truly deliver concrete results and capture the attention of target consumers without overflow, On The Go Marketing, as part of an added value program with WCBS Television, conceived of and executed lunchtime drive events at Class-A office parks throughout the NY-Metro area.
The office parks provided an ideal event location with no competing media and access to thousands of target consumers in the desired income level. These interactive events featured an “Extreme Terrain” driving course, gourmet lunch, and WCBS Sports prize raffles. In just three events, Mercedes was able to generate the sale of over 30 vehicles directly to event attendees! “Giving these office parks employees an unexpected, enjoyable distraction from their everyday routine was the key to the campaigns success,” reflects Sasha Itzikman, president of On The Go Marketing, “Obviously drive events are nothing new, but at these locations there was no competing media. The events are fun and social. Mercedes was able to interact with consumers for a prolonged period, really getting their message across outside of the often intimidating environment of the Mercedes showroom.
