AVIAD® is now celebrating 53 years of aerial media services to clients, large and small throughout the western hemisphere.

Founded in 1953 by Harley Mansfield as a local banner towing service in Boston, the company name was changed in 1962 to National Aerial Advertising, Inc to reflect an expanded capacity to serve clients on a national level. Now under the guidance of the founder’s son, CEO Wayne Mansfield, the company is based in both Boston and Los Angeles; and operates in Canada, Latin America, Europe and Africa. In 1993 the name AVIAD® was developed at the London School of Marketing to reflect this multi-country presence. The AVIAD® brand has become recognized internationally as the standard of quality in aerial media services. Both AVIAD® and Skyboard® are internationally registered trademarks owned by AVIAD®.

AVIAD’s services range from simple lettered messages called SkyText to Skyboards®, Skywriting, and Aerial Spectaculars involving vast fleets of aircraft flown in formation.
